The Atom String Quartet will perform in Bucharest in a live jazz concert marking Poland’s National Day. The concert will take place May 2, starting 20.00, at ArCuB’s Batistei concert hall.

Established in 2009, the Atom String Quartet’s music is influenced by Latino rhythms, Irish and Spanish folklore and the music of various regions in Poland.

The quartet is made up of Dawid Lubowicz, Mateusz Smoczyński, Michał Zaborski and Krzysztof Lenczowski. Their 2011 debut album, titled Fade In, won the Fryderyk award, Poland’s most prestigious musical nod.
