The second edition of classical music concerts Prahova Classic Nights, taking place at the Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni, is scheduled for February 26th and February 27th and will feature mezzosoprano Margarita Mamsirova, tenor Roman Muravitsky, baritone Evgeny Polikanin and pianist Andrei Licareţ.

The program includes pieces by Giacomo Puccini, Piotr Ceaikovsky, Franz Shubert, Frederic Chopin, Giuseppe Verdi and Gioachino Rossini.

Margarita Mamsirova (pictured) is an invited soloist of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow since 2002 and performed on world-known stages such as Teatro alla Scala (Milano), Grand National Theatre (Beijing), Royal Opera House (London), Teatro Real (Madrid), Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa (Warsaw), Opera National de Paris. Tenor Roman Muravitsky is a principal soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre since 2003 and some of his best known roles are Herman (Queen of Spades), Glitzy (Khovanshina), Calaf (Turandot), Cavaradossi (Tosca). Baritone Evgeny Polikanin is a principal soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater in Moscow, where he appears in roles such as Athanael (Tais), Jago (Othello), Don Carlos (Ernani), Escamillio (Carmen). The three will be accompanied by pianists Tatiana Lobyreva and Romanian Andrei Licareţ.

Prahova Classic Nights is a series of concerts featuring the international opera performers alongside Romanian ones in the setting of the Cantacuzino Castle. The concept of the event is inspired by the history of the Cantacuzino Castle, where at the beginning of the 20th century, the prince and princess Cantacuzino were organizing a five o’clock musical, to honor notable Romanian personalities of the time.
