The exhibition Brancusi. Shapes in black and white will be open at the National Museum of Art of Romania in Bucharest until May 29th. The exhibition is part of the national program celebrating 140 years since the birth of the Romanian sculptor and includes a selection of 40 photographs taken after negatives Brancusi took in Paris: aspects of his workshop and sculptures at various development stages.

Besides the photos, the exhibition features two interactive modules from the Pasarea ascunsa-n piatra (The Bird Hidden in Stone). The workshop was developed by specialists at the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris to familiarize children with the works of Brancusi.

The photos and the interactive modules where donated to the National Museum of Art of Romania by the National Museum of Modern Art – the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris in 2006 and 2007.

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 11.00 to 19.00 (May through September) and 10.00 to 18.00 (October through April).
