The fifth edition of the British Ball takes place June 11th at the Caro Hotel in Bucharest, starting 17:00. Besides marking the day of the queen of the United Kingdom, Elisabeth II, the event awards children with outstanding results achieved at the English language contest Fonix and at other international exams during the 2015 – 2016 academic year.

The organizers, International House Bucharest and English Kids Academy, expect around 700 participants at the event, including the UK ambassador to Bucharest Paul Brummell, soprano Felicia Filip and Bucharest prefect Paul Petrovan. Artists that will attend the ball are: the Anima Quartet, Raluca Iurascu and Alexandru Roşu, the children’s group led by Virgil Popescu and Oana Sarbu, the dance group coordinated by Alex Nistor, and Lidia Buble

Among the awards children will receive at the ball are a two-week educational camp in the UK, attendance at camps in Romania benefiting from the presence of teachers from the UK, educational products, books, various vouchers, culinary surprises and dedicated artistic moments.
