Falstaff, the last opera composed by Giuseppe Verdi, will be performed again at the Bucharest National Opera House after many years of absence from the repertoire. The premiere is scheduled for February 19, at 19:00.

The opera in three acts will be performed in the new approach of British director Graham Vick, known for his original and experimental stage productions. The 1999 version of Falstaff he created for the Royal Opera House Covent Garden found inspiration in the paintings of Renaissance artist Pieter Bruegel (a mix of grotesque expression, balanced compositions and elementary colors).

After the premiere, future performances of the Italian opera with a libretto after William Shakespeare are scheduled for February 19, 21, 22, March 5 and 6, May 14 and 15.

Tickets are available online on tickets.operanb.ro and at the Opera ticket office at prices ranging from RON 25 to RON 200 (VIP).
