The fourth edition of the OMV Petrom Bucharest Half Marathon will take place May 16 and 17. The races start at 10.30 am on Saturday, a day dedicated to children’s races, and 8.20 am on Sunday. The full program of the all types of races is available here.

The marathon is organized by the Bucharest Running Club Association, in partnership with the Romanian Athletics Federation and the Bucharest City Hall. The marathon’s starting point is at Constitutiei Square in Bucharest. The event includes races for adults, children, and disabled people.

Sunday is the day when all adult races take places. Participants can run in the: Wheelchair Race, with choice of distances of : 21.097 km, 10 km or 3.5 km; Half marathon Individual Race, with a distance of 21.097 km; Team Relay Race , for a four persons team, with a distance of 21.097 km; and the Popular Race 3k, with a distance of 3.5 km around the Parliament Palace.

Online registrations for the event are now closed but for a limited number of places, registrations can still be made at Sport Expo on May 15 from 13.00 to 20.00 and on May 16 from 11.00  to 20.00.

The funds raised from the participation in the Popular Race will be donated to the supported causes of the event: the Romanian Olympics Federation, Hopes and Homes for Children, Hospice House of Hope, United Way, Little People, Light into Europe, WWF Romania and Viitor Plus.
