The first edition of the Bucharest International Shorts Festival will take place between September 9th and September 12th at the Romanian Peasant Museum in Bucharest. The event will feature 29 shorts in five sections: the official competition; Films 4 kids; films outside of the competition; the retrospective of the Venice International Film Festival and the retrospective of the Drama International Shorts Festival.

Some of the films to be screened are Adrian Sitaru’s Art, which received the Prix Format Court at the Namur Francophone Film Festival, the Best Short Film award at the Sleepwalkers International Shot Film Festival and the Louis le Prince Award at the Leeds International Short Film Festival; Sidi Saleh’s Maryam, which won the Orizonti Award at the 71st Venice Film Festival and Ali Asgari’s La bambina.

The Bucharest International Short Film Festival 2015 takes place at Gradina Cinema, the Muzeul Taranului Cinema and the Peasant’s Club.
