The second edition of the Spotlight festival will take place this year between May 5th and May 8th on Calea Victoriei and the route from the Central University Library to the Natiunile Unite square.

The festival will see 15 light installations, architectural lighting and video-mapping sessions on the facades of the buildings on the route: the Savings Bank CEC, the National History Museum, the National Military Circle, the Novotel hotel. The works presented in the festival belong to both local and international artists.

At the same time, this year the Spotlight festival will expand its presence to several Bucharest neighborhoods, where landmark buildings will be light up. They are: Foisorul de Foc, the Gheorghe Sincai National College and the Leul statue.

The Light Carpet, the Penguin Army and the Angels of Freedom are just some of the installations that will go on display. The festival will open with a show by Lords of Lightning from UK, whose installation is inspired by Nikola Tesla’s inventions. A Zoli Toth Project show will complete the atmosphere.

The program of the festival and its map are available here.

Access to the event is free of charge
