Film enthusiasts in Bucharest get to choose the best Polish short movie at Short Waves Festival, taking place in over 90 cities around the world, at the same time. In Bucharest, the screening is set for March 10, starting 19:30, at Elvira Popescu movie theatre. The shorts will be subtitled in English, French and Romanian.
This year, the seventh edition of the international Polish shorts festival takes place during March 6 and 22 under the name Short Waves Grand Prix Tour 2015, presenting seven of the best Polish short movies out of a selection of 280 taking part in the competition, through vote cards. What makes the event different from others alike is that the best short film will be chosen by the public present at the screenings in 45 cities in the world and 48 in Poland. The winning film will be announced on March 29 at the Gala in Poznań, after all votes will be counted.
In 2014, the Grand Prize of the festival was won by Tomasz Śliwiński’s Our Curse, nominated at Oscar this year.
Tickets are available at the ticket office at the Elvira Popescu movie theatre at the price of RON 15.
