Mexico celebrates its colorful, rich culture in a festival gathering 20 Mexican artists in Bucharest and Brasov. During October 22 – 29, the Mexican Cultural Week will introduce the public in Romania to folk dance group Yuhua, traditional singer Yaneth Venegas, mezcal tasting, paintings and even to a death altar installation.

“Mexican culture has many similarities with the Romanian culture. We want the public to know better and deeply enjoy the similarities that unite us and the peculiarities of Mexican artists from Oaxaca, a region that offers Romania a gift of traditions, color and beauty. “ says the Ambassador of Mexico, Agustín Gutiérrez Canet.

The event will be held in Bucharest at the National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti”, National Museum of the Romanian Peasant and the National Art Center “Tinerimea Romana”, and in Brasov at the Reduta Cultural Center.
