A first edition of the „Fête de la gastronomie“ will take off this Friday, September 26, in Bucharest, celebrating l’art de vivre à la française and the richness of French cuisine, a cultural value included in the UNESCO heritage.
The celebration consists of an entire weekend of food and wine tasting events, exhibitions, oenology workshops and special menus at partner-restaurants. The French Institute will also host the Open Doors Days where visitors are awaited for French products tasting, themed exhibitions and movies at the Elvire Popesco movie theatre. On the same occasion, hypermarkets will set up special areas for products of French origin, with special offers.
The guest of honour at „Fête de la gastronomie“ is Dominique Frérard, holder of the title of Maître Cuisinier of France. Chef at the „Les Trois Forts“ restaurant (Sofitel, Marseille).
Fête de la gastronomie“ is organized by the French Embassy in Romania, French Chamber of Commerce in Romania, the French Institute and Ubifrance.
