The eleventh edition of the international contemporary performance festival eXplore is on in Bucharest and will close in Iasi between November 10th and November 13th. The events in Bucharest take place at WASP – Working Art Space & Production.
The Iasi presence of the festival is the result of a partnership with the Contemporary Photography Center in the city, where several performances, workshops and conferences will be held, with the aim of increasing the interest in contemporary performance among young audiences.
This year’s edition of eXplore festival brings to public attention several cross-disciplinary events which focus on artistic research, original production, mobility and the relation with the urban space.
Some of the scheduled events include: Focus Austria, featuring artists from the Austrian cultural space; the Foreign Bodies conference, covering premiere performances and documentary film; and a selection of the results of the production, research and professional training programs organized by WASP throughout 2016 through Platform X, Visualizing the Sound and GROWASP.
The program of the event can be checked here.
