The fourth edition of the European Comics Salon will take place during October 16 – November 2 2014 at the National Museum for Contemporary Art.

All fans of cartoons and stories are awaited to visit the comics, cartoons and satirical graphics exhibitions, to meet the guest artists and curators, to take part in discussions, presentations and workshops, to watch animation movies, to browse albums and magazines and to buy the latest comics titles. This edition includes works from Austria, Portugal, Greece, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, France, Hungary, Wallonia-Brussels, Germany, Belgium and Romania.

Not to miss this year is the “The best cartoons in the world – Cartoons against monotony” section, bringing in premiere to Bucharest works awarded at the World Press Cartoon (Portugal).

Other must-try events in the program are the workshops and presentations held by Rui Paulo da Cruz, curator and manager of „World Press Cartoon”, artists Mawil (Germany), Ileana Surducan, Maria Surducan and Mihai Marcu (Romania), and authors Sara Olausson and Joanna Hellgren (Sweden).

Romania is present at the European Comics Salon with a collage of the comics, sketches, animations and character drawings of 10 artists.
