The films that were shortlisted for this year’s edition of the European Parliament LUX Prize will be screened in Bucharest on November 26th and November 27th at Cinema Studio. Every year the European Parliament awards the Lux Film Prize to a film which helps to shape European identity. Three films are being screened in the 28 European Member States and the public gets the chance to vote for their favorite.

The three films screened are: Mediterranea, directed by Jonas Carpignano; Urok, directed by Petar Valchanov; Mustang, directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven (photo from film).

The event will also see the opening of the photo exhibition Waiting for Freedom, by Ioana Moldovan, Teodor Pantea, Ovi D. Pop, and members of the Photography Artists Association in Romania.
