Cuban jazz pianist Roberto Fonseca will be in Bucharest on April 25th for a concert at the National Theater, starting 20:00. He will be performing alongside Ramses Rodriguez and Yandy Martinez, while Adrian Naidin Quartet and Vali Boghean Band will be guests at the event.
The pianist, known as part of the Buena Vista Social Club, will offer a performance merging tradition with an avant-garde approach. In 2009, he was nominated for the Grammy Awards for a project bringing together Cuban and African musicians. He was born in a musical family: his father was a percussionist, his mother a singer and a dancer with the Tropicana Club Havana. His younger brothers are also musicians: percussionist Emilio Valdés and pianist Jesús “Chuchito” Valdés Jr.
Tickets, priced RON 70 to RON 198, are available at iabilet.ro and in the iabilet network.
