The Spellground Festival, which was supposed to take place between August 12th and August 14th, was canceled for the observance of the national mourning day for Queen Anne of Romania. The queen passed away on August 1st, at a hospital in Morges, Switzerland.

The decision to cancel the festival was made after the Ovidius University in Constanța, an official partner of the event, decided to obey the national mourning day set for August 13th. The value of the festival tickets and passes, and of the camping packages can be recovered starting August 12th in all ticketing networks, according to procedures announced on the festival’s site.

The Constanța university owns the land where two of the festival’s stages would have been set up. The two stages, Master Stage and Ground Stage, were supposed to accommodate 70 percent of the live shows in the Spellground.
