The third edition of Fete de la Gastronomie, the event celebrating French culinary art, will take place between September 23rd and September 25th in Bucharest.

The theme of this year’s edition is Cuisines populaires – Everyday Food, aiming to rediscover the daily meals of French families and highlight regional products that emphasize the personal experiences of those cooking them.
Since 2010, every year, France celebrates its traditional food with this celebration of gastronomy. For three days, restaurants, bistros and markets in France are filled with people sampling French dishes.

Last year, the local edition of the event involved 31 restaurants, hotels, wine bars, pastry shops, hypermarkets and one library in the capital.

The event usually includes an Open Doors Day at the French Institute in Bucharest, the promotion of French products in hypermarkets, the promotion of French gastronomy in restaurants, and the promotion of French wines.
