A concert featuring the first act of Richard Wagener’s opera Parsifal will open the season at the George Enescu Philharmonic on October 7th and October 8th.
The concerts will be conducted by Christian Badea and the cast includes invited soloists Stefan Vinke (Parsifal), Eric Halfvarson (Gurnemanz), Petra Lang (Kundry), Bela Perencz (Amfortas), considered among the top Wagner performers in the world.
Alongside the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, Romanian artists such as Marius Boloș, Liviu Indricau, Iustinian Zetea and Sidonia Nica, Ionuț Popescu and Adrian Dumitru will also perform. The Radio Children’s Choir and students of the Floria Capsali Choreography High school also collaborate on the performance.
Tickets for the concerts are available at the box office of the Romanian Athenaeum. Owners of passes to the George Enescu Philharmonic can purchase, until September 23rd, tickets at a special price of RON 100. Regular tickets cost RON 150.
