The Dutch community in Bucharest will celebrate the 48th birthday of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands at the Orange Night, on April 24 at the Hilton, starting 18.30. The event, organized by the Netherlands Romanian Chamber of Commerce, is open to Dutch, Romanians and others alike.

Traditionally, King’s Day is an opportunity for ‘oranjegekte’ (orange madness), when all Dutch people wear clothes and gadgets in the national color: orange. At the Orange Night guests are requested to wear something orange at the event, where everyone can enjoy the Dutch herring and the bitterballen.

Tickets, priced RON 150 to RON 650, as well as details about the evening’s program, are available on the site of the Netherlands Romanian Chamber of Commerce.
