The Globe Theatre’s touring troupe will perform their ‘As you like it’ at Bucharest’s Shakespeare festival. There will be two performances of the popular Shakespeare comedy, both at 19:30, on July 11 and 12 in Piata George Enescu.

According to the Globe Theatre, “As You Like It runs the glorious gamut of pastoral romance: cross-dressing and love-notes; poetry and brilliant conversation; gentle satire, slapstick and passion.” James Dacre directs and the leading roles of Rosalind and Orlando are played by Will Featherstone and Deidre Mullins (in picture).

The Globe Theatre’s ‘As you like it’ will close the Bucharest Shakespeare festival, which has been running since the end of April and already featured productions of Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, The Winter’s Tale, King Lear and Henry V. Companies from Russia, Lithuania, Taiwan, Denmark and England have all performed during the festival.
