October starts off with Halloween goosebumps in Brasov, with the second editon of the Dracula Film: Horror and Fantasy Festival. Between October 1 and 5, the festival will screen horror, science fiction, thriller and fantasy movies in 3 sections: international feature film, international short film and Romanian short film.

The opening night of the festival will host a preview screening of Dracula Untold, starring Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Immortals) and directed by Gary Shore.

8 films were selected for the international short film competition. Unusual and troubling stories haunt the 8 short films (6 from Europe and 2 from USA) competing for the Little Dracula Trophee: Heart (R. Andrew Zuber, USA), Un Homme Bien (R. Steve De Roover), Arrangement of Thorns (R. Chris Davis & Julian Lambert, UK), Emit (R. J. S. Mayank, USA), I Wish My Life (R. Joachim Huveneers, Belgium), Stepmother (R. Nick Fogg, UK), Grieta en la oscuridad (R. Xavi Rull, Spain) and Mr. Dentonn (R. Ivan Villamel).

7 films were selected to compete in the Romanian short film competition for the Vladutz Trophee: Disparutii (R. Ion Bădescu), Pui de somn (R. Paul Mureșan), Lumina firava (R. Florina Dumitrache), Gloria (R. Mara Ionescu), LAG (R. Anton Grooves & Bogdan Orcula), Sah (R. Claudia Ciocan & Iulia Radu) and Kazimir (R. Dorian Boguta).

The feature film section numbers 28 films.  All the festival screenings will take place at Sica Alexandrescu Theatre and Cinemateca Patria.

The festival program will also include concerts: Baba Zula, Luna Amara and Aria Urbana, Deliver The God, Indian Fall and Code Red, Karpov Not Kasparov and DJ Mehmet Aslan & Andrew.
