This December, Bucharest International Experimental Film Festival (BIEFF) brings to the capital fresh and daring trends in experimental cinema. During December 10 and 14, fans of nonconformist films can choose from 76 films from 28 countries, most of them in premiere in Romania, and the newest productions signed by masters of contemporary cinema.

The fifth edition of the festival also features collaborations with Quinzaine des Réalisateurs Cannes, Berlinale Forum Expanded, International Film Festival Rotterdam, IDFA Amsterdam, Oberhausen ISFF, Cinedans Dance on Screen Festival. The core of BIEFF is the international competition of experimental short movies, organized in five subthemes: Alternative History, Family Ties, Recycled Cinema, In Search of a Soul and Urban Ghosts. Organizers announce Recycled Cinema as one of the most daring section in the festival, including awarded movies.
