The seventh run of the Irish Film Days will take place November 19th and November 20th at the Elvire Popesco cinema in Bucharest. The program includes the films Gold, directed by Niall Heery, Good Vibrations, directed by Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Leyburn, and two shorts – David Holmes’s I Am Here and Alan Holly’s Coda.

Gold, released in 2014, tells the story of a father looking to meet his daughter and her mother after a more than ten years absence. The meeting between the rebellious teenager and her father makes the film an unconventional comedy.

The 2013 Good Vibrations is based on real events and concerns the re-emergence of the city of Belfast through punk-rock music after a long series of conflict. The film captures essential moments in the life and punk-rock culture of the 1970s Belfast.

All screenings start at 19.00 and have Romanian subtitles. Tickets cost RON 15 or RON 10 for students and seniors, and can be purchased at the box office of the Elvire Popescu cinema.
