The fourth edition of the Jazz at Bran Castle festival will take place between August 26th and August 28th at Bran Castle and at the Rasnov Evangelical Church.

This year’s edition of the festival brings to Romania artists who haven’t performed in Romania before or are present for the first time at the event. Some of them are: Italian piano player Giovanni Ceccarelli, who will perform solo and also alongside bandoneon player Daniele di Bonaventura; pianist Giovanni Guidi Trio will perform accompanied by US bass player Thomas Morgan and Portuguese drummer João Lobo. Danish – British – Norwegian trio Phronesis returns to Romania to promote their new album, Parallax, released in April of 2016, while German trumpet player Markus Stockhausen will present for the first time in Romania the project Quadrivium, together with German cello player Jörg Brinkmann, Italian piano and organ player Angelo Comisso, German bass player Christian Thomé, Norwegian guitar player Jacob Young Trio, Italian percussionist Paolo Vinaccia and Norwegian sax player Bendik Hofseth.

Concerts take place Friday to Sunday, starting 19:00, in the interior yard of the Bran Castle and Saturday and Sunday, starting 12:00 and 13:30 at the Rasnov Evangelical Church.
