The 2016 run of Autor international contemporary jewelry fair takes place April 16th and 17th at the Grand Hotel du Boulevard in Bucharest. The fair showcases contemporary jewelry collections from designers from all over the world and more than 3,000 guests are expected at the event.

Romanian jewelry design recently came to international spotlight as Otilia Mihalcea, the designer behind the Oval brand (ovaloval.com), won the jury’s Special Prize for Accessory Design at the International Fashion Showcase (IFS) in London. It was the first time in IFS’s history when this prize was awarded.

Besides the events it organizes, Autor functions as a platform that encourages and creates a dialogue between designers and their public: consumers, collectors, galleries, distributors and specialized media.
