Joshua Redman Trio will hold their first concert in the country on March 24th at Sala Radio and organizers say jazz lovers are in for a surprise performance.

“Jazz is too often placed on an intellectual pedestal and many people perceive it as a forbidden style to the uninitiated. But it’s actually quite the opposite. Jazz is simply emotion and fun,” says US saxophonist Joshua Redman, one of the most acclaimed and charismatic jazz artists to have emerged in the decade of the 1990s. He is the son of legendary saxophonist Dewey Redman and dancer Renee Shedroff. He performed alongside Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, The Dave Matthews Band, Branford Marsalis, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Brad Mehldau, Rolling Stones or The Bad Plus.He won a Thelonious Monk award and received two Grammy nominations.

In Bucharest he will perform alongside Joe Sanders (double bass) and Gregory Hutchinson (drums).

Tickets, priced RON 105 to RON 165, are available on and in the Eventim network.
