During December 6 and 21, kids can take a ride in an express going through Austria, Finland, Poland, Russia and Lapland at Plaza Romania Mall in Bucharest. The program includes events celebrating each country’s specific traditions on winter holidays.
On December 6 and 7, Santa Claus’ train starts off in a train station in Austria where an elf will accompany kids into a world of games specific to this country and another will teach them traditional dances. This weekend’s program, during 11:00 and 20:00, includes classical music, a jazz concert, puppetry, painting, face painting workshops, interactive games, carols and the “Kids got talent” competition.
During December 12 and January 11, from 10:00 to 22:00, a new skate rink will be opened in the parking of the shopping center. Right next to it, at the Christmas Fair, visitors will find this season’s typical treats, like gingerbread or mulled wine.
In the weekend of December 13 – 14, the Polar Express reaches Finland. On Saturday, starting 11:00 hours, visitors can enjoy Finnish games and dances and can take part in decorating the shopping center’s Christmas tree with decorations made by themselves. Starting 18:45, the organizers planned a concert including tango, classical music, jazz, chamber music and carols.
The Polar Express reaches its last destinations: Poland, Russia and Lapland, on December 20 and 21, starting 11:00.
The last days before Christmas – December 22, 23 and 24 – will include puppetry, painting, face painting workshops, interactive grames for kids, carols concerts and Fiore Quartet concerts. Kids can visit Santa Claus during the events on December 13,14, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24, from 16:00 to 21:00.
