Skye & Ross, known to fans as being part of Morcheeba, will perform at Sala Palatului on November 23rd to promote their first, Skye | Ross album as a duo. Besides the new pieces of the two, they will also perform Morcheeba hits.

Skye | Ross is an album going back in time to the sound that turned Morcheeba into a success at the end of the 90s. The album is, according to Ross, “what Skye and I used to create naturally when we were asked to make music together, and not necessarily a continuation of what we did with Morcheeba. As such, it seemed absolutely natural to give it a new identity.”

This is not the first time when one of them steps outside of their musical comfort zone. Last year, Skye launched the fourth solo album, In a Low Light, a collection of electronic soul, while Ross played performed with Little Mountain, a trio including his wife Amada Zamolo.

Skye | Ross is reminiscent of the spirit of Big Calm, an album in the Morcheeba portfolio which received a platinum distinction at an international level. Some of the singles on the disc, especially the tranquil ones, can be surprising. Clear My Mind is reminiscent of the Brazilian tropic, while Medicine, which includes a gospel choir, references Al Green’s music. The single opening the disc, Repay the Saviour, is reminiscent of Miles Davies.
