CineŞoc is a new series of screenings at ARCUB (Bucharest’s cultural center) transforming the performance venue at 14 Batiştei Street into a movie theater, each month.

Starting February 25, at 19:00, the new event will present controversial movies that have not been distributed to cinemas in Romania or were not widespread in the country. The first movie to be screened at the center is director and screenwriter Werner Herzog’s Into the Abyss.

The program will not take into account the age of the selected films, but their quality regarding the series’ theme: their provocative nature.

The films will be screened in original version with subtitles in Romanian. Tickets can be acquired at the price of RON 10 online on and at the ARCUB ticket office on 14 Batiştei Street, next to Universitate Square and Intercontinental Hotel. For more details on the screening on February 25, check out the event page.
