On New Year’s Eve, the National Opera in Bucharest will host a double event: a special concert and the New Year’s Eve party with live music.
The evening will start off with a welcoming cocktail, following which, at 20:00, spectators will enjoy the New Year’s Eve Concert, performed by the Opera’s Orchestra and Choir in the Great Hall. Suites of symphonic and choir compositions will alternate with works for piano and violin, bringing to light some of the best-known Romanian music pieces.
After the Concert, the evening will continue in the Opera’s foyers and salons which will host, starting 22:30, the New Year’s Eve Party. The program includes live canzonets, zarzuelas, opera arias, polkas along with swing, foxtrot and jazz. The menu of the evening includes an entire series of appetizers, three main courses and the types of desserts. Menus for vegetarians and for kids will be available on request.
At midnight, organizers plan a special moment spent on the esplanade in front of the Opera.
Tickets for the Special Concert vary from RON 100 to 160 per person and are available here and at the Opera ticket office.
Fees for the dinner and party range between RON 600 and 800 per person. Kids aged between 6 and 14 have 50% discount. Groups between 6 and 10 persons have a 10% discount, while those over 10 persons have a 15% discount.
Organizers announce that those on the look for a more intimate atmosphere can choose the Opera’s first floor, where a Private Salon with 30 places is available.
