French musician Charles Aznavour will perform for the first time in Bucharest on April 28th of 2016 in a concert at Sala Palatului, titled One Night Only. The concert is being rescheduled from an initial February date and relocated from Romexpo.

Also known as the Frank Sinatra of France, Armenian Aznavour was named in 1988 by CNN the entertainer of the century. He began his artistic career at age nine, when he did acting work. In 1946 he is discovered by Edith Piaf, whom he accompanies in her France and US tours. In 1974 he breaks into the UK musical scene with the hit She, which reached number 3 in the charts faster than any song before. This was followed by another hit, Dance in the old fashioned way.

Throughout his career he collaborated with Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra, Andrea Bocelli, Bing Crosby, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Liza Minnelli, Elton John, Dalida, Serge Gainsbourg, Josh Groban, Petula Clark, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Jose Carreras, Laura Pausini, Nana Mouskouri and Julio Iglesias. He won numerous music and film awards.
