Centered on the theme of Old vs. New, the Otaku Festival will take place this year on May 9-10 in Bucharest, at the Romanian-American University. The festival tackles the Otaku subculture with events, presentations and workshops on subjects such as cosplay, anime, or manga drawings.

For two days, the organizers of the festivals hope to connect creative artists, editors, translators, curators, students, professors, readers, designers, data scientists, media theoreticians, digital culture critics, cultural workers, creative firms, fan communities, photographers and so many more from all corners of the world.
