Well-known artists from the world of dance will perform on the stage of the National Opera in Bucharest, at the Ballet and Contemporary Dance Charity Gala to be held this Monday, February 23, at 19:00.

The event raises funds for Romanian ballet dancer Bogdan Nicula (pictured) , diagnosed at the age of 35 with a form of paralysis. The sum raised from the sale of tickets and fundraising will go to the account opened for Bogdan Nicula’s treatment.

The audience at the Gala will watch classic and contemporary dance performances of Răzvan Mazilu – one of the best-known dancers and choreographers in Romania, Judith State, Ioana Marchidan, Andrei Nicolae (Sibiu Ballet Theatre), Sara Marchetti (Italy), Andreea Jura and Dan Haja (Romanian National Opera in Cluj Napoca). They will be joined by ballet dancers: Corina Dumitrescu, Bianca Fota, Cristina Dijmaru, Marina Minoiu, Mihaela Soare, Adina Tudor, Monica Petrică, Gloria Barbu, Tamara Grimmer, Greta Niţă, Robert Enache, Dawid Trzensimiech, Bogdan Cănilă, Vlad Toader, Barnaby Bishop and Cristian Gîdoi.

Students from the Floria Capsali Choreography High School in Bucharest will also perform two fragments of Bogdan Nicula’s works: Flash Stop (2013) and New Origins (2014).

Tickets can be acquired at prices ranging from Ron 10 to RON 150 online on bilet.ro or in the bilet.ro network (list of selling points available here), the ticket office of the National Opera (open from Monday to Sunday during 9.00-13.00 and 15.00-19.00) and at the ticket office of the Ion Dacian Operetta Theater (open from Tuesday to Saturday during 11.00-19.00 and Sunday during 14.00-19.00).
