The Romanian documentary film festival București Docuart Fest will take place between September 27th and October 2nd at Cinemateca Eforie and at the cinema of the Peasant Museum.
The official selection of films to be screened came out of more than 70 documentaries submitted this spring. The jury was made up of Mihai Fulger, Anca Grădinariu and Florin Barbu.
“The submitted films show the vitality and diversity of subjects tackled by both young directors and established ones. The documentary has turned from the “poor relative of fiction” into an increasingly appreciated and popular genre,” explains Daniela Apostol, the director of the festival.
Besides the 25 films in the competition, the festival will show 20 additional documentaries and hold debates, master class sessions, and other activities.
Entrance to events is free.
