“There is something about jumping a horse over a fence, something that makes you feel good. Perhaps it’s the risk, the gamble. In any event it’s a thing I need”. William Faulkner
(A) A traditional token of civilization, attitude and value over the centuries, mostly in Western Europe, equitation now starts timidly but surely to build its way and recognition in Romania.
The Equestrian Salon, the first integrated event dedicated to equestrian economic, business, sports and cultural activities, is a premiere for Romania and will take place near Bucharest (DN1), from September 27th to September 30th, 2012.
Courage, determination and a genuine challenge for its organizers – the prestigious riding club Equestria – and the Romanian public alike, these are the necessary conditions having brought this project to life. The Equestrian Salon aims to bring the model of the famous Salon du Cheval from Paris, to Romania.
During the 4 days of the event, The Equestrian Salon will include activities dedicated to the specialized audiences (stud owners, equestrian clubs, horse owners, producers in the field), as well as for large audiences and all admirers of this noble and beautiful sport.
The event will host the international competition „The Bucharest Grand Prix”, which will bring riders from all over Europe willing to impress the audience with their talent and skills. Dedicated to specialists and horse lovers, the event will bring also the first performance and competition horses sale. The event’s agenda also includes horse presentations, direct sales, display stands for equipment and products, together with a generous show programme: parades, stunts, acrobatics, dressage, etc.
At the moment, Romania is ranked 5th in the world in terms of horse numbers, and specialists estimate that Romania has the highest potential in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of race horse studs.
“The first edition of <The Equestrian Salon> aims to revive the taste for sophistication and elegant lifestyle of the inter-bellum period, as well as the tradition of horse sales, adapted to the contemporary life. <The Equestrian Salon> can bring Romania amongst the most economically, socially and culturally advanced countries. The size of the event, based on the large number of exhibitors and their prestige and the event’s national and international characteristic recommend <The Equestrian Salon> as a future investment, with great business potential, that will contribute to the development of Romania and to its image in the world”, declares reputed dr. Ozana Moraru, owner of the club.
The Equestrian Salon is an inspirational initiative for the Romanian and European business environment and for the public at large, an outstanding business potential investment for the future. The dimension of the event through the large number of exhibitors and their reputation, as well as its European coordinate, through the affiliation with the corresponding equestrian associations and attendance of internationally famous names, makes for an awesome, greatly attractive event and an opportunity for further business developments.
