A new open air musical event, Bucharest Piano Marathon is opening its gates this Saturday, June 7, at the Summer Theatre in the Herastrau park in Bucharest.
Highly aclaimed musicians from all over the world are invited to play in a spectacular series of concerts with orchestra, recitals and chamber formations. In the last series, Madalina Slav will be performing a recital of rare pieces together with her piano duo partner Benjamin Engeli. Amongst works like Paul Dukas’ “The sorcerer’s apprentice” and George Enescu’s “Romanian Rhapsody” they will perform a transcription of J. S. Bach’s Ciaccone for violin solo and double piano accompaniment by Robert Schumman and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy featuring violinist Alexander Scherbakov.
The event celebrates the National Adoption Day, catching the attention of all the children’s right to a permanent family.
Tickets are priced between Ron 65 and Ron 80. Free entrance for children up to 6 years old.
