This year’s edition of Rockstadt Extreme Fest takes place between August 11th and August 14th, at the foot of the Rasnov fortress in Brasov.

Mayhem (De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas set) and Soulfly will be performing at the event, alongside such names as Parkway Drive, Moonsorrow, TesseracT, Insomnium, Tankard, My Dying Bride, Carach Angren, Bucovina, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Indian Fall, Cattle Decapitation, Soilwork, Morgoth, Borknagar, Destruction, Hocico, Infest, Gutted, Clitgore, Mind Assault, Infected Rain, Holocausto Canibal, Hteththemeth, Hypno5e, Ordinul Negru, E-An-Na, Postvorta, Moribund Oblivion, Stercore and Berserkers.

Misfits will not be attending this year’s edition of the event, after having canceled all of their European concerts.

One of the most controversial extreme music groups, Mayhem (pictured) is expected to perform in full their debut album De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, composed and recorded alongside Euronymus and Varg Vikernes. Considered one of the most influential black metal albums, the disk started to be composed in 1987 but it was launched only in 1994, after a controversial chapter in the Norwegian music scene. The 75-minute show will mark the group’s first local appearance.

Soulfly, the group established by legendary Max Cavalera, returns to Romania to present a Best Of set, including both pieces launched in 1997 but also classic Sepultura compositions.
