A festival which aims to re-teach Romanians how to have fun and be happy will take center stage downtown Bucharest this weekend, between April 2 and 6.
Called Romanian Fun Festival, the event will include a ‘sing out loud’ part, consisting of live karaoke shows in Bucharest’s Old Town on Friday, April 4. This will be staged on Lipscani street, behind the Romanian National Bank.
The ‘Sing out loud in the city’ show will start at 17,00, and for two hours, a band – called The Band – will accompany amateur singers who test their skills – and lungs – by performing 20 well known songs.
The festival features a hobby exhibition at 17 Matasari St., held daily during the festival, under the name Hobbyka, creative workshops and a toy car collection on Sunday. For children, events under the ‘unbolt and discover’ umbrella will be held daily between 15,00 and 17,00 at the location on 105 Soseaua Oltenitei, at Ateliere fara Frontiere (Workshops without borders). Kids will learn what electronic objects are made of.
