Calea Victoriei in Bucharest will be light up for three days, between April 23-25, as part of the first edition of the Spotlight International Light Festival. The capital’s historic road will be transformed into a giant exhibition as public spaces will be transformed through the use of interactive installations and light shows. These will be set up from the Central University Library to the Natiunilor Square.

The festival will be launched by concert of Robin and the Backstabbers and Alternosfera, set to take place April 23, starting 20.00 on Strada Franceza in the Old Town of Bucharest. Access to the event is free.

UNESCO declared 2015 the Year of Light, in order to raise awareness of the role of light and lighting in the contemporary world.
