50 black and white photos shot during 1981 and 1989 tell the visual story of the ‘80s teenage life in Bucharest in an exhibition to open today at 18:30 at Café Verona at Cărtureşti Verona.

The selection comes from the personal archive of Andrei Bîrsan, photographer and president of Bucureştiul meu drag/ My dear Bucharest, an association promoting Romania’s capital through photography. Snapshots from the photographer’s high-school years and collage sit next to images of a rapidly changing Bucharest, mixed together in a nostalgic collage of what is now history.

The exhibition at Café Verona will be open until the end of March.
