If you feel like taking Bucharest with you wherever you go, it’s good to know it can fit in your pocket. Or in your travel case. One exhibition lets you know just how.
During October 13 – 26, Suvenir de Bucuresti – From interwar nostalgia to contemporary object tries to sum up the atmosphere and essence of Bucharest in the objects of five artists: a ceramist, a sketcher, an etcher, a painter and a textile artist. Useful day-to-day objects such as a teapot or a cushion, painted ceramic figurines, textile oversized puppets, paintings, sketches, all carry in them the mix of nostalgia, modernism, joy and even self-irony of the capital.
The exhibition can be visited during 11:00 – 19:00 from Monday to Friday, and during 11:00 – 17:00 on Saturday at Elite Art Gallery at 15 Academiei Street.
