The “young, smart and strong” German cinema will be present in Bucharest between October 31 and November 6 at the Days of the German Cinema (Zilele Filmului German). For one week, the event will screen at the Studio movie theatre 12 successful German film productions from the past years: eight fiction movies and four documentaries.
The Days of the German Cinema open with the preview of “Kreuzweg/ Stations of the Cross” in Bucharest movie theaters. The movie directed by Dietrich Brüggemann won the Best Script Silver Bear in 2014 and is distributed in Romania starting November 7.
“The topics of the movies this year combine the search of belonging, for life and especially family role models in today’s Germany and worldwide. It’s young, daring, it has personality and humor, it’s strong and smart – the German cinema at its highest level of performance! The movies included in the program of the Days of the German Cinema had their premiere in five of the most prestigious festivals in the world and are unmissable cinema experiences. This is the reason why I wanted to share them to the public in Bucharest” said the Romanian-born German director Alexander Nanau who was responsible with this years’ selection of movies.
Tickets for the screenings can be bought at the ticket office of the Studio movie theater at the price of 10 lei per screening or 28 lei per four screenings.
