The Turkish Festival will take place May 20th to May 22nd in Titan park, in the third district of Bucharest. The festival is meant as a celebration of Turkish culture, in many of its aspects, from cuisine and crafts to traditional dances and the arts.

A culinary exhibition comprising over 45 food stalls will showcase a diverse range of foods, alongside Turkish teas and coffee. At the arts workshops visitors are invited to learn from Turkish artists crafts such as calligraphy, the miniature, the gold-covering technique (tezhip) and the ebru, the Turkish art which entails painting on water followed by giving paper a marble-like aspect.

Children will find here dedicated activities such as face painting, balloon figurines, and children’s shows and concerts

Turkish music groups will deliver concerts each hour throughout the duration of the festival. These will be accompanied by traditional dance shows, performances of the military fanfare Mehter and performances of the spectacular dance of the dervishes.

The festival takes place from 10:00 to 20:00. Entry is free.
