Emmy winning violinist Edvin Marton will return to Timisoara, Western Romania, for a concert on December 21st. The concert takes place at Sala Olimpia starting 19:00. Marton will play a 1699 Stradivarius violin.
The ninety-minute concert will bring audiences a mix of styles, from classical to rock.
Marton started studying the violin at age 5. He delivered his first concert at age 12, alongside the Moscow Symphonic Orchestra. He benefited from a scholarship at the Juilliard school in New York.
Ten years ago, he composed the musical arrangement for the performance of Evgeni Plushenko at the Torino Winter Olympics. In 2008, he won the Eurovision prize, an MTV prize and an Emmy trophy for The Best Musical Composition of the Year.
