Vama Veche under the Oscar Spotlight (Vama sub lumini de Oscar VSLO) festival will take place in the Romanian sea side village between August 19th and August 28th.
Hundreds of visual arts enthusiasts are expected to attend the event, which will offer theoretical and practical courses in photography, film, painting, sculpture, music and theater. The seventh edition of the event will also bring exhibitions, film screenings and open air concerts.
The locations of the event are: La Frontiera, Papa La Şoni, Povestea Ceaunului, Acolo Bar and La CopaCabana (2Mai) and La Copac (Bucharest).
Those taking classes at the event have the chance of winning the VSLO 2016 trophy.
The Photography section of the festival focuses on such topics as: street fashion, wedding photography, staged photography, nude photography, street photography, film photography, Photoshop editing, photojournalism, or portrait photography. Among the guests in this section are Olav Urdahl and Micha Bruinvels, director of World Press Photo Contest.
The courses in the Painting and Sculpture section are coordinated by Daniel Prapone, while those in the Theater section by Lightwave Theatre Company.
The Music section will offer this year, besides concerts, classes in percussion instruments. The lecturers are the Drum Café team and Ati de Chile, Adelin Dragu, Cristian Melak and Norbert Halmagyi.
