Pianist Josu de Solaun, the winner of the 2014 George Enescu competition, will deliver a recital on October 18th, starting 19.00, at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. De Solaun performed alongside renowned international orchestras such as the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra, New York Sinfonietta or the Leos Janacek Symphony Orchestra. Born in 1981, de Solaun studied at the Manhattan School of Music with Nina Svetlanova and Horacio Gutiérrez. He also received the first award of the European Union Piano Competition in 20009 and the Grand Award at the José Iturbi International Piano Contest in Spain in 2006.

In Bucharest he will perform pieces by Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Manuel de Falla and Claude Debussy.
