The 2015 edition of the World Press Photo exhibition will be opened in Bucharest between May 8 – 29, in the University square. A new category, Long Term Projects, can be seen by the audience this year. The organizers of the local edition, the Eidos Foundation, say they hope to see 100,000 visitors this May, up from the 48,000 who came to see the photos last year.

The photographs that can be seen at the specially set up location across the University building were selected by an Amsterdam-based jury, presided by Michele McNally, Director of Photography and Assistant Managing Editor at The New York Times. The exhibition was founded in 1955 in Holland.
