Discover the fascinating atmosphere of the Carpathian Mountains and Transylvania, a landscape of historical monuments, splendid landscapes, legends and traditions. The round tour will begin with a visit to the Muddy Volcanoes in the Subcarpathian Mountains, a unique natural phenomena in Europe – where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the small volcano-shaped structures that create a strange lunar landscape.
We pass the Carpathian Mountains via lake Siriu, stopping next at the Saxon Fortified Church in Prejmer, designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The first day will end with a medieval knight’s dinner that will give a taste of the medieval times.
On the second day of the tour, you will discover the medieval center of Brasov, one of Romania´s most beautiful towns. On the way to the famous and fascinating Bran (“Dracula”) Castle we pass the alpine resort of Poiana Brasov and the old Saxon village of Rasnov/ Rosenau.
