The third edition of the Jazz in Church Festival will take place this year during April 16 – 19 in Bucharest, at the Lutheran Church, and at the heart of Transylvania in Sfântu Gheorghe, at the Unitarian Church.

Among the artists to perform at the festival are: Nils Petter Molvaer (pictured), musician representative for the Norwegian school of jazz and improvised music, Aki Takase (Japan) along with Alexander von Sclippenbach (Germany) who will bring a project in premiere for Romania – “Solo – Duo – 4 Hands” – piano solo for four hands, the French clarinet player Louis Sclavis, well-known for his new musical formulas and composer, author of film music Gianluigi Trovesi, renowned Erik Truffaz and Benoit Corboz. The last two will perform together with Nils Petter Molvaer at the Unitarian Church in Sfântu Gheorghe.

This years’ edition of the festival will take place under the High Patronage of His Excellency Jean-Hubert Lebet, Ambassador of Switzerland in Romania.

Tickets and passes are available online on and in Eventim network (Germanos, Orange, Vodafone and Domo stores, Humanitas and Cărtureşti bookstores). For concerts in Bucharest, the price of a ticket is RON 80, while a pass for the four concert evenings is RON 250. For the concerts in Sfântu Gheorghe, a ticket for April 16 is RON 45 and for April 19 – RON 55.
