The chamber music festival SoNoRo will take place this year between October 28th and November 14th. The festival carries this year the name of “La Muse et le Poète” and 20 concerts are in the schedule. The public will get to see 23 musicians coming from 18 countries, among them pianists Olli Mustonen Louis Lortie, violinists Mihaela Martin, Ilya Gringolts or Philippe Graffin, viola player Lars Anders Tomter, and cellists Frans Helmerson, Christian Poltera and Maximilian Hornung.

The opening concert of the festival will take place at Cotroceni Palace, in the Unirii Hall, on October 28th. Six other concerts will take place in Bucharest until November 7th. Starting with November 14th the festival will continue in Timișoara, Cluj and Bistrița.

The Bucharest venues where concerts, carrying such names as La Muse et Le Poète, Pour Un Tombeau Sans Nom, À Clara, La Muse inspirant le Poète or La Muse Hypnotique, will take place are: the Romanian Athenaeum, the National Military Palace, the St. Iosif Cathedral, the Romanian National Art Museum and the Radio Hall.

New venues added this year in Bucharest are the Cărturești Carusel bookstore, Arcub, Point, the Ion Mincu House, the Löwendal Foundation residence, the Galateca Gallery and the reading room of the Letters Faculty.
